About Us
We have been caring for local children here at Coolum OSHC since 1990! From before and after school to fun holiday programs, we’re here Monday to Friday (6:00am-6:00pm), offering a safe and welcoming space for school-aged children to learn, play, and grow. Come be part of our OSHC family, we’d love to have you!
Our Service
Coolum OSHC is a not-for-profit run by the Coolum State School P&C, which means we’re all about supporting our school community. The P&C helps guide things like our programs and policies, and it’s a great way for parents to get involved and have a say. We’re proud to be a service that’s shaped by families, for families.

Our Philosophy
At Coolum OSHC, we’re all about play! We believe play is more than just fun, it’s how kids learn, grow, and understand the world around them. For us, play is all about giving kids the freedom to choose, lead, and enjoy their own adventures. Through play, they build confidence, develop a sense of belonging, and grow a strong sense of self.

Our Commitment
Coolum OSHC is a P&C-run Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service that follows the same high standards as all approved providers. Guided by the National Quality Standard (NQS) and overseen by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), our service is regularly assessed to ensure it delivers safe, supportive, and enriching care. This partnership ensures high-quality care that reflects both national expectations and local community values.
Our Assessment and Rating
We are really proud to say that Coolum OSHC was rated Exceeding the National Quality Standard in all seven areas during our latest assessment in April 2024. This achievement places us among the top 8% of OSHC services across Australia!
This rating is a big deal for us and shows how much we care about providing great experiences, quality care, and a space where every child feels happy, included, and inspired to learn. It means we’re doing an awesome job at creating a safe, fun, and supportive place for your kids!
